The Strength to Begin Again: Finding Joy After a Lifetime of Giving

There comes a moment in every woman’s life — often softly, sometimes with a roar — when you stop and realize that the people you’ve spent your life caring for no longer need you in the same way.

Your children are grown. The house that once overflowed with activity and laughter now feels quiet. You’ve worked long hours, sacrificed sleep, chased deadlines, built a career, and given freely of your time and heart. You’ve carried others through storms, made sure everyone was cared for, and poured your strength into everyone but yourself.

And now… it’s your turn.

You start to ask a question you may not have asked in years:
What brings me joy?

When the Caregiver Becomes the Creator

For so long, your joy came from others — their achievements, their comfort, their dreams. But now, you feel the stir of something new — a longing to live for you. To do something that lights your spirit and makes you feel alive again.

That realization takes incredible courage.
It takes strength to shift from survival to fulfillment.
It takes empowerment to say, “I’ve supported everyone else — now I’m ready to support myself.”

Starting over isn’t easy. It means stepping into uncertainty, learning again, and trusting that your worth extends beyond what you’ve given to others. But here’s the truth:
You’ve already proven you can do hard things.
You’ve already built, led, nurtured, and conquered.

Now it’s time to pour that same determination into building a life that brings you peace and joy.

Redefining Strength

Maybe that means changing careers.
Maybe it’s launching a business, going back to school, creating art, or finally taking that trip you’ve always dreamed of.

Whatever it looks like — it’s yours.
And that makes it powerful.

This chapter isn’t about letting go of who you were; it’s about honoring everything you’ve been and giving yourself permission to become more.

Because true strength isn’t just in what you’ve endured — it’s in your ability to begin again, to move forward, and to choose you this time.

💖 Closing Reflection

If no one has told you lately — you deserve this chapter.
You deserve peace, purpose, and joy that is entirely your own.

You’ve given the world your strength; now give yourself your heart. With Much Love to you all -xoxo, SheShe

Simple Yet Meaningful

As many of my followers know I have a heart condition and also have Epilepsy. Two medical illnesses that I will live with the rest of my life. Over the years I have shared some ups and downs with you through my blogs. The most commonly asked question I have been asked by many of you is how I maintain a happy spirit and positive attitude, and been so successful with my businesses despite being so sick. I know many of you face challenges of monumental depths as well, so I would like to share some helpful thoughts with you in todays blog, Simple Yet Meaningful.

The first message I would like for you to let sink in is, that you will never get this day day again. Think about that for a second, or a minute or even while reading through the rest of this blog. Today is an opportunity you will never have again. How amazing is that thought?! How amazing is it that we have today?! That we have the opportunity to use this day to do something spectacular! This really hit home for me, when the realization became all to real that with the next seizure, there may not be a tomorrow, so yes, TODAY, this day.. is my day, not tomorrow, TODAY! Besides, you always have the upper hand when you are living for today, not tomorrow!

My second message and probably the most important is to live each day happy because you are given the chance. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Happiness is at the forefront of all of my success. Do not let little things overwhelm you and if you need help, ask. Surround yourself with people who truly care and support you. At the end of the day, those are the ones who want you to succeed and want happiness for you. This goes both ways, give back. Show kindness and light. It does the heart good! In a world where you can be anything, be a light!

I hope this blog finds you all well and I hope it helps some of you! As always, I would love to hear from you so please reach out! Much love to you all, XOXO – SheShe

The Broken Tree

Today I did something not at all out of the ordinary for this time of year. Something that many people do as well I’m sure. I began taking down the Christmas decorations around the house and putting them away until next season. As I went through the motions, I came to the Christmas tree. I always take extra care, as there are special ornaments that I would be devastated if I broke in the process. After removing the ornaments, it was time to then move to the lights. That is when it hit me in a wave, the tree was broken this year. Upon putting the tree up at the beginning of the season, we realized only one strand of lights was working. We had a decision to make, either replace the entire tree, or just get new lights.

Now, back to the present moment of me taking down the tree. Here I stood looking at this magnificent tree and thinking to myself, how could we have ever thought of throwing it out over a few broken lights? Looking at this tree today, who would even know it was ever broken? All it needed was a little light and it was like brand new! Standing there shining and bright in all of it’s glory. This made me reflect on my own life. How many times have I given up on a situation when all it needed was a new perspective? A light shone on it. Or, worse, on dreams or goals because I thought they were broken when they did not work out the way I thought they should? When in reality, maybe I was not looking at it in the right light?

Sometimes in life we miss out on opportunity because we focus on what is broken instead of the magnificence of what is not. My goal this year is to focus on the positive aspects of every situation and to try and not take opportunities for granted. My wish for all of you is that when you look at the broken trees in your life, you see something beautiful as well and that you decide to build on them and not to give up on them! I would love to hear about your goals for the year, so feel free to drop me a line! Much love to you all! XoXo, SheShe

Madison Reed to the Rescue

I recently was given the opportunity to give a new salon near me a try and I’ll be honest my first thought was, I already have a salon so why would I do that? However, my interest was peeked so I decided to look it up and once I did I realized it was not your average salon. In today’s blog, I will be giving you a look at Madison Reed Color Bar Salon and what they are about.

Madison Reed Color Bar offers multiple color services that are perfect for the woman on the go, that does not have time to sit in a salon for six hours of hair treatment when you need that color boost! They have a specially trained color mixologist on site that will color match your hair to ensure you get the perfect color for all your hair color needs and wants.

Whether you are looking to go back to your natural color, cover grey or add a boost to your highlights, they can handle it all.  I chose to do the gloss and blow out services and have shared before and after pictures for you here.

This is the perfect solution for me, being an Instagram influencer, I have photo shoots   that pop up and I do not always have time to schedule a six hour highlight appointment. The gloss treatment literally takes thirty minutes and I am in and out looking refreshed and not stressed in time for my shoot! In addition, they offer products for at home use. If you do not have time to go sit in the salon, you can stop in and pick up the products and DIY at home! How awesome is that option for those mom’s that have little to no time for themselves as it is?! I have linked the website and services here for you:
